The Department of Family Medicine has created a fellowship in academic family medicine for individuals who would hold the rank of Instructor during the time that they are with the department. This faculty position will serve along-side existing faculty in the department in a development program to teach skills for teaching, administration, and scholarly activity in a faculty role. This faculty member will serve along-side existing faculty as a teacher in the clinic, active participate in on-going research projects, and working and teaching in the hospital. Obstetric skills are not necessary.

Job Description:
- Academic rank of Instructor
- Attend family medicine residents in clinic and hospital
- Teach residents and students in lecture, small groups, and one-on-one
- Complete Faculty Development Certificate Course at the GSM
- Participate as Team Leader in a research project in clinic
- Attendance at three national conferences
- Participation in hospital and department committees

Salary: $140,000

- One year
- Join family medicine faculty each with fellowships in teaching and/or advanced studies
- Certificate of completion


- Graduation in good standing from Family Medicine Residency Program
- Board-certified in Family Medicine
- Tennessee License
