The Department of Family Medicine & Community Health at UMass Memorial Health Care and UMass Medical School is recruiting an experienced Family Medicine physician as our next Vice Chair for Clinical Services. The Vice Chair for Clinical Services is a member of the Senior Leadership Team and contributes to the planning and execution of the Departmental mission, goals and objectives.
The department is fully engaged in practice transformation guided by the Quadruple Aim of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement. The Vice Chair will have the assistance of a biostatistician to employ clinical and survey data to drive change. Responsibilities include oversight of: Quality improvement, credentialing and privileging, faculty recruitment, and other roles as directed by the Department Chair.
We are currently accepting applications and seek candidates Board Certified in Family Medicine with extensive experience in clinical service management, quality, and physician supervision. Our ideal candidates will have prior clinical and teaching experience at an academic healthcare system and an interest in teaching/precepting students and residents, and mentoring faculty. Advanced management or MPH degree is desirable.
