Faculty Pediatrics 0.5 FTE

Des Moines University seeks a part-time Pediatrics faculty member in the Department of Specialty Medicine. This physician is responsible for provision of educational lectures, laboratories and other educational modalities, consistent with the Pediatric scope of practice, within the University to support the educational priorities of the Specialty Medicine Department and Des Moines University.  In addition to the duties assigned by the University this physician is expected to maintain a clinical practice outside of the University Clinic System.

Qualifications for this position include but are not limited to:

 

  • D.O. degree from a COCA accredited college of osteopathic medicine or M.D. degree from LCME accredited school of allopathic medicine.
  • Current board certification in Pediatrics or appropriate sub-specialty board.
  • Minimum of three years teaching experience in either undergraduate or graduate medical education desirable.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in Pediatrics required.
  • Possess license to practice in the State of Iowa, or be eligible to gain license to practice in the State of Iowa.
