Erie is Seeking a Delivering Family Physician and Residency Core Faculty


Join us to provide full-scope Family Medicine including deliveries and train the next generation of community-oriented Family Physicians at Erie Family Health Centers. Erie cares for more than 70,000 diverse patients at 13 locations throughout Chicago and the northern suburbs. As one of the nation’s first Teaching Health Centers, Erie has trained more than 130 family medicine residents since 2010. 


At Erie you will:


  • Provide ongoing comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages with an interdisciplinary health care team
  • Attend on our Maternal Child Health (deliveries, postpartum and newborn care) and Family Medicine Service (adult care) inpatient teams.
  • Partner with hospitals close to our health centers to offer our patients imaging and specialty care regardless of their ability to pay
  • Oversee resident experience on the Maternal Child Health, Neonatology, Inpatient Pediatric, and Pediatric ER rotations and maintain and update curricula as needed
  • Give regular didactics on Maternal Child Health topics
  • Ensure resident experiences are compliant with ACGME regulations
  • Work with Chief Resident to coordinate and perform quality review of prenatal patient care
  • Review curricula regularly with residents and committee to identify and implement improvements.

  • MD or DO from accredited institution, licensed physician in Illinois
  • Board Eligible/Certified in Family Medicine
  • Federal DEA license, Illinois Physician's license
  • Interest in and comfort with working with diverse patient population
  • Knowledge of or interest in learning medical Spanish with the opportunity of re-imbursement for Spanish Language Immersion to be completed prior to Erie start date
  • Preference for applicants with 1-2 years of Delivering Family Medicine as well as residency faculty experience
