Assistant/Associate Professor – Clinical Skills and Simulation

The Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine at Florida International University (FIU) is currently seeking applicants for an exciting full-time faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, in the Office of Medical Education. Qualified applicants will be responsible to assist in the teaching of simulation-based training and assessments and will facilitate large and small group hands-on sessions for Clinical Skills 1 and 2, assist in small group Case Based Learning Sessions, support the case development, rating, and assessment of OSCEs and participate in other integrated case based sessions. The qualified applicant will also participate as an Academic Advisor, meet with students to assess academic progress and learning goals, academic difficulties, provide guidance for exploration of options and ultimately selection of residency fields and programs. If preferred, this position may provide clinical care for up to 20% effort.

Minimum qualifications include a terminal degree as an MD or DO. Must be Board Certified (discipline expertise is open) or obtain board certification within one (1) year of employment.

Preferred qualifications include experience in medical education, clinical skills, and/or simulation-based medical education.
