About the Position: A recruitment or relocation bonus may be authorized. This position is located at Madigan Army Medical Center, Primary Care Service, Family Medicine, Tacoma, WA.

Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment.

Duties
You will serve as a Supervisory Family Practice Physician. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
Examining active duty, family members and other authorized beneficiaries to diagnose diseases and conditions.
Administering appropriate care and or referral of cases requiring hospitalization or subspecialty care.
Performing procedures that may include vasectomy, reduction of simple fractures, lumbar puncture, endometrial biopsy, joint aspiration/injection, and procto sigmoidoscopy.
Reviewing physical requirements and conducting physical examination of various categories of military and civilian personnel.
May supervise medical students/externs, residents and other non-professional health care providers when needed.
