Mount Carmel Health System, one of the largest healthcare systems in central Ohio, is seeking an Assistant Program Director for its full ACGME-accredited Family Medicine Program. The Family Medicine Residency is a 6.6.6 program operating as the primary residency on the Mount Carmel St. Ann's campus. Our program structure allows for exceptional full-spectrum training including inpatient medicine, ambulatory practice, newborn care, obstetrics, adolescent medicine and behavioral medicine. Association with several medical schools provides a robust experience including both resident and medical student education.

Optimize formative feedback with our own electronic formative feedback system, now in use by other programs (and specialties) on the national level. Academic focus with nationally-recognized faculty serving in leadership positions in several national organizations including with the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine (STFM), Family Medicine Residency Curriculum Resources and Association for Hospital Medical Education. Faculty have clinical appointments at The Ohio State University, the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University and NEOMED. Emphasis on scholarly activity, including institutional and program-level research and clinical trials involving both residents and faculty as well as multiple national presentation annually. Inline social learning platform (GME-U) allows for easy access to information regarding required and elective rotations. Faculty Development Fellowships training offered to all faculty members and supported by Mount Carmel Graduate Medical Education..
The ideal candidate will have: MD or DO training Board-certification in Family Medicine Interest in ambulatory and inpatient medicine Strong interest in teaching Interest and /or training in Sports Medicine or Geriatrics highly desirable Obstetrics interest a plus, but not required
